Mission

The Mosinee Police Department is a professional organization dedicated to providing the highest quality police service. The police mission includes protecting life and property, preserving public peace, preventing crime, reducing the fear of crime, apprehending those who violate laws, and providing police services to the community. We strive to continuously improve.

In the performance of police duties, employees serve and act for the people, not for themselves. They are obligated to do what the law requires and must never allow passion, brutality, fear, favoritism, or sympathy to influence them, resulting in acts of illegal leniency or negligence of duty.

Officers are sworn to represent the dignity and authority of the state. Officers shall not use unnecessary force, nor hesitate to use necessary force when appropriate.
