CHIEF OF POLICE

The City of Mosinee (population 4,124) is currently seeking applications for the Chief of Police position to replace a retiring Chief.

The Chief of Police is responsible for directing and supervising a department of 6 full- time sworn officers and 1 full-time secretary, with an annual budget of $641,217.

The next Chief of Police will be a dynamic public safety leader and an exceptional communicator with extensive knowledge of all aspects of police services and operations.

Candidates should also have the following qualifications and experience:

• An Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university. A Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or a related field is preferred. • A current Wisconsin LESB certification and a valid WI driver’s license. • A minimum of eight (8) years of law enforcement experience in a full-time, paid municipal police department. Municipal law enforcement supervisory experience is highly desired.

The Chief of Police is appointed by the Mosinee Police Commission, reports to the Mayor, and works closely with the City Administrator.

The annual starting salary range is $73,500 – $76,500 DOQ. The City also offers an excellent benefit package.

PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I

The City of Mosinee is seeking applications for the position of PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER I. These are part-time positions with employment being from approximately mid-April to September. Primary responsibilities include maintenance of City parks; mowing lawn, repairing park equipment, painting, cleaning park buildings, maintain mowing equipment, watering flowers and assisting in the City’s Public Works Dept. as necessary. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required. Interested applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Pay rate is $10.00 per hour.
