The City contracts with Veolia Environment Services to collect refuse and recyclables. Refuse is collected every week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Click here to view the refuse collection zone map. Recycling is collected every other week. A schedule of the collection dates is available by clicking here. (A separate truck is used for this, so your garbage and recycling may not be picked up at the same time on this date). Electronics RecyclingStarting September 1st, 2010, it will be illegal to landfill or incinerate the following electronic devices in Wisconsin: - Desktop computers - Desktop printers - Video display devices - Computer peripherals - Fax machines - DVD players, VCRs, DVRs and other video players - Cell phones For more information on the landfill ban, or where to recycle your old electronics, visit: www.dnr.wi.gov/ecyclewisconsin Each Spring, the City of Mosinee holds a "Spring Cleanup" where residents can dispose of Electronic devices. This "Spring Cleanup" is usually held in April of each year. For more information, please visit the City of Mosinee website in March or April for more information. Hazardous Waste MaterialsFor disposal of household hazardous waste materials, Marathon County has a facility set up to accept these materials and disposal is available at no charge to all County residents. The collection facility will take lawn chemicals, garden chemicals, cleaning solvents, antifreeze, motor oil, hydraulic fluids, fluorescent light bulbs, solvent-based glues, mercury products, degreasers, lead-based paints, and batteries of all kinds.
